From a very early age there was a driving need within me to explore spiritual realms and the unseen truths of life. My religious parents created an atmosphere in our home where spirituality and ethical values were important parts of everyday life. Although mom and dad were both Christians, they each attended churches with radically DIFFERENT doctrines. It gave me the perspective of alternate viewpoints - almost always a GOOD thing! Add to this the fact that my mother was very fond of spiritualism or 'spiritism,' as my father liked to call it. Mom was definitely the witch of the family!

My formal religious education began with a thorough, cover to cover, chapter by chapter study of the Bible. In hindsight I confess that this was a good place to start - for me anyhow. It was a terrific education and it helped me understand both Jewish and Christian points of view. Even as a very young boy, though, I saw a connection between faiths of all kinds and it seemed obvious to me that there was an overarching SPIRIT at the SOURCE of all the world's great spiritual traditions.

From an early age I imparted knowledge. To do this better I took electives in High School such as Public Speaking' and Interpersonal Communications. Eventually, the path led to my lecturing and teaching before MANY audiences ranging in size from a few dozen to crowds up to 5000 people!

In time I realized that Christianity was only ONE of an almost infinity of valid, spiritual pathways that bring us closer to God. Despite some religious leaders who insist there's only one right and divinely approved religion, I came to believe otherwise. In my view BEING is the foundation, the power and inspiration behind all faiths, holy books, saints, mystics, miracle workers and great teachers of all faiths and philosophies. The supreme BEing cannot be contained within the 'walls' of any one religion or human conception of divinity.

My true path is that of the wizard. For me It is a spiritual calling, not a religious one.

There is value in the diversity of spiritual viewpoints. In my view, Spirit provides MANY paths so that everyone may have a way to access the divine at each stage in their lives. This has caused some people to accuse me of being OVERLY tolerant of other faiths. Although I no longer consider myself a Christian in the strict sense of the word, I respect the one called Jesus Christ. Having said that, I confess it is my opinion that many Christian churches have strayed quite far from the original teachings and intent of Jesus of Nazereth.

Evidently, many pagans prefer teachers who follow a narrow tradition or who insist there is only one "right way" to worship. My position is simple; when Nature herself decides the world needs ONLY one kind of bird, only ONE kind of flower, only ONE kind of human being, I will accept that there should be ONLY one method to worship!

In my opinion, the true spiritual guide serves humanity best when each student is taught to find divinity within and all around. Everyone should be encouraged to discover his/her own true nature and calling. We can make the world a better place by becoming the best possible version of ourselves. In my view the true teacher does not lead his followers to destroy, denegrate or oppress people of other faiths but rather will show how SPIRIT expresses itself in myriad ways.
